LA ESPERANZA
Sustinere_logo - Copy

Sustinere is well-versed in research related to environmental sustainability and green growth. It is open to research partnerships and collaborations on connected topics, in particular: reforestation, clean and renewable energies, clean and sustainable production materials, organic food sufficiency and humane, responsible pisiculture and pescatarianism, vegeterianism and veganism.

Upcoming research articles will be published on this page.

REFORESTATION

The benefits of reforestation must be properly understood (i.e. soil and air quality, ecosystem regeneration, protecting endangered species, capturing carbon) as well as the risks and dangers (i.e. plantation losses, invasive species).

RENEWABLE, CLEAN ENERGIES

Many opportunities now exist and must be investigated to discover how communities can efficiently access renewable resources such as: sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves and geothermal heat, and convert them into household energy.

CLEAN,SUSTAINABLE MATERIALS

The most sustainable production materials must be researched and opportunities for their usage properly understood. Such materials include wood, bamboo, recycled plastic, grasscrete and timbercrete. The extent to which they can be locally sourced to reduce transportation emissions is also important.

organic multicultual farming

Organic multicultural farming has a positive impact on the environment, on society (public health), and the economy (growing market). Monocultures have been shown to be detrimental to the earth and soil quality, whereas multicultural farming helps regenerate. More research is needed to understand the implications and opportunities.

ecological diet changes

Global trends are moving towards plant-based diets for health benefits and environmental gains. However, vegetarianism and veganism are not the only diet options that benefit the environment. Pescatarianism can be a sustainable solution according to some. More study is needed on this.
